"John Betts b. 1881 Great Ryburgh Norfolk son of William and Fanny Betts, the brother of Edmund Walter, a territorial with former service in the Yeomanry, was killed near Polygon Wood while serving with the 8th York and Lancaster Regiment. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial Zonnebeke, Belgium."
